Sherry has been creating art since childhood. Her love of wildlife is the primary focus of her art. Her major goal is to share the beauty of nature and the wildlife which surrounds her in her daily life.
She originally worked in pencil to create intricate, realistic drawings. Sherry now works in watercolor to portray wildlife native mainly to North America. Working with wildlife has deepened her love of and concern for the environment and has helped create the distinctive style for which she is well-known. |

Sherry has been named Wildlife Artist of the Year eight times by the Arkansas Wildlife Federation. She has been one of the top 100 exhibitors at the International Southeastern Wildlife Expo in Charleston, SC and has won Best of Show and Judges Merit Award at the National Wildlife Art Show sponsored by Ducks Unlimited each of the 12 years she exhibited there.
Major commissions include works for National Audubon Society; the Wild Canid Research & Survival Center, Eureka, MO, founded by Marlin Perkins; Little Rock Zoo; Arkansas Audubon Society and Ducks Unlimited. Funds raised from these works have been used for education and conservation, helping to preserve wildlife and the habitat on which they depend.
Sherry did the illustrations for Trees, Shrubs & Vines of Arkansas by Carl G. Hunter and A Shadow in the Forest by J. B. George.
